Opera, Nature and Luxury in Savonlinna ~ Lakeland Finland
Explore the unique atmosphere of the high class opera, inside of the walls of the medieval castle Olavinlinna and relax in the breathtaking views of the Finnish Lakeland nature.
Day 1
Arrival in Helsinki. Transfer from the airport to Hotel Kämp. Day in Helsinki or/and pampering yourself at Palace Kämp Day Spa. The dinner can be enjoyed e.g. in Kämp Café & Bar.
Day 2
Breakfast at the hotel. After the check out at 12.00, the rental car (Volvo) is waiting in the front of the hotel. Driving via Mikkeli towards Savonlinna and Rantasalmi/Holiday Centre Järvisydän. The lunch can be enjoyed e.g. in old parsonage Kenkävero or in charming Tertti Manor, in Mikkeli.
Afternoon arrival in Holiday Centre Järvisydän. Accommodation in Snag Cottage or in Slope Villa. Dinner in medieval style restaurant and wine cellar Piikatyttö.
Alternatives for the evening programme:
- A lake safari to Linnansaari National Park, to the home of endangered Saimaa Ringed Seal and the osprey.
- Finnish sauna world with the hot water tub
- Riding by the Icelandic Horses
- Canoeing safari to Linnansaari National Park
Day 3
Free day.

- Cultural day in Savonlinna, Punkaharju and Kerimäki by the rental car. Places to visit: Olavinlinna Castle and a scenery cruise in Savonlinna, Art Centre Retretti, Finnish Forest Museum Lusto and Punkaharju ridge area in Punkaharju and the world’s biggest wooden church in Kerimäki.
In the afternoon departure from Holiday Centre Järvisydän, by a private ship, to Savonlinna Opera Festival in Olavinlinna Castle. Aperitifs on board. Dinner in Olavinlinna Castle and presentation of the opera of the night. After the opera possibility for drinks and small snack in the town centre of Savonlinna. Taxi transfer to Holiday Centre Järvisydän.
Day 4
Departure for Helsinki by a rental car.
